The seminary community celebrated the
Feast of the Presentation of the Lord with great solemnity
including the traditional candle light procession in
which the schola cantorum chanted the processional antiphons
in Latin. Father Wehner spoke at the end of Mass about
the importance of how the sacred liturgy and the great
traditions of the Church are sources of evangelization
- sources in which many parishes no longer avail themselves
to but are finding a resurgence among the younger generation
of Catholics. He encouraged the seminarians to discern
how they might promote the liturgical life of the Church
as a source of the new evangelization.
