Snapshots of Quinquennial 2010

The 2010 Quinquennial Reunion was held at the Josephinum in early August. Thank you to all Quinquennial attendees for your presence and your patience during the sweltering days of early August – summer 2010 was one of the hottest seasons on record for Columbus. But it was the reunion itself, not the heat, that made this time unforgettable. All praise and thanks to God!

Diploma recipients were Mike Heydinger, Don Wampach and Tom Whitney. The Jessing Alumnus of the Year Award went to Fr. Richard Kramer for his tireless work on regional reunions and his faithful representation of alumni at meetings of the Board of Trustees, and to Tom Zilligen for his dedication to the Church and community through volunteerism and his patriotism as a veteran of WW II and as a member of the VFW and Catholic War Veterans.

Closing with some statistics, the eldest and youngest alumni in attendance were respectively Fr. Roger Bonifas ’45 and Fr. Eric Culler ’08, both of the Toledo diocese.  The alumnus who traveled the farthest was Msgr. Jim Logan – 2377 miles.  Alumni who had returned for the first time since their days as students:  Msgr. Raymond Ruscitto ’53, Deacon John Schiffer, Fr. Gerard Braun ’85, and Fr. David Ruchinski C-’90.
