EDUCATION & BIOGRAPHICAL
SUMMARY
Monsignor Langsfeld, a priest of the Archdiocese of
Washington, received his B.A. and M.A. in philosophy
from The Catholic University of America; his S.T.B.
from The Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome; Ph.L.,
from The Catholic University of Louvain, Louvain,
Belgium; S.T.L., The Catholic University of America;
and S.T.D. from The Pontifical Gregorian University.
In 1991, Msgr. Langsfeld began teaching at Mount St.
Mary's Seminary, Emmitsburg, Md., serving as Vice-Rector
and Dean of Formation since 1998. He was Assistant
Professor of Theology from 1992-1998 when he was promoted
to Associate Professor. He was the author of the Formation
and Evaluation Program (1998); Moderator of the Faculty
Formation Teams (1998-2003); Formation Advisor (1992-2003);
Spiritual Director (1992-2000); and Coordinator of
the Liturgy (1992-1995). He served as Systematic Department
Chair 1995-1997and 2000-2002.
