Summer Workshop Series

Offered by The Institute for the
Diaconate at the Josephinum

Continuing formation, as a process,
has received renewed emphasis in recent years. The
Josephinum is committed to providing opportunities
for experienced deacons to consider, to learn, and
to reflect on their roles in the life of the Church.
To this end, two three-day workshops
designed especially for permanent deacons will be
offered in summer 2008. Join us for these opportunities
to enhance, advance, and re-animate your pre-ordination
formation, already received and lived out, in all of
its dimensions.

Workshop I: "A
Word That Will Rouse Them"

This Homiletics workshop
and practicum is designed for experienced
homilists. In a supportive environment, we
will focus on scriptural exegesis and presentational
skills, including composition and delivery to perfect the deacon's ability to
proclaim God's Word.
Featuring:

Diaconate Formation is a process, not an event.
It does not end on the day of ordination. Continue
your spiritual journey as we explore the Four
Dimensions of Formation and the role of the experienced
deacon in parish service.
