The Pontifical College Josephinum is pleased to serve
the local Catholic community by offering courses for
those interested in the Order of Deacon in the Roman
Catholic Church.
In partnership with the Diocese of Columbus, the
Josephinum has developed the prerequisite courses
a candidate to the diocesan diaconate program must
successfully complete before he begins the aspirancy
year. These courses will be offered on Saturdays
during the 2009-10 academic year.
The tuition is $600 for a three credit hour course.
This tuition is the lowest in the area. If you have
never taken a course at the Josephinum then there
is also a $25 nonrefundable application fee. The
necessary forms, as well as course descriptions,
are linked below.
For more information, please contact the Registrar’s
Office at the Pontifical College Josephinum via e-mail
registrar@pcj.edu or by phone
614-985-2226. The registrar will then be able to explain
more about the courses, the fees charged, the application
process for the courses, and how to register. We look
forward to welcoming you to campus as you discern
your diaconate vocation, and we hope to help you fulfill
your academic prerequisite requirement.
