History
Named for the college’s founder, Msgr. John Joseph Jessing, the Jessing Center served as the Josephinum's library until 1982, when the space was no longer adequate to house the seminary's growing number of library holdings. The library moved to the main building, leaving the original library vacant for multi-purpose use. Over time, the Josephinum identified a need for a modern facility to serve as an educational resource and to provide a means of outreach to the community. In 1997, an $8 million renovation transformed the building into a state of the art facility of unparalleled excellence.
