To receive any type of federal, state or institutional financial assistance at the Pontifical College Josephinum, you must complete the financial aid application process. This process begins with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), as detailed below. The sooner you file the FAFSA, the sooner your financial aid may be determined. In addition, filing early may mean better availability of financial aid funds. Be sure to read all financial aid information carefully, noting any deadlines.
File the FAFSA form online at StudentAid.gov.
To complete the FAFSA, you and your parents will need your most recent year’s federal tax information. You will also need our school code, 003113. By providing this code on your FAFSA, you authorize the Josephinum to receive the results of your completed application. A FSA User ID and password is required to complete a FAFSA online. You will create these when you first log into the FAFSA web site.
If you provided a valid email address, you will receive an email in 3 to 5 days with instructions on how to access an online copy of your SAR (Student Aid Report). If you did not provide an email address, your Student Aid Report or SAR will be mailed to you. When you receive the Student Aid Report, review the information carefully for accuracy. If you need to make a change to the information, you may submit the corrections online using your FSA User ID and password.
The Director of Financial Aid will contact you via email if there is any additional paperwork needed to complete the financial aid process. The financial aid you are eligible for will then be posted on the financial aid page in the POPULI student data system. The POPULI system sends notifications when aid is posted. You will be directed on how to review your aid and accept it.
