Every one of these works which we, as a Church, have inherited from this great pontiff give evidence not only to his keen mind but to his all-consuming love for God and the Church. Behind each scholarly endeavor was a passionate priestly heart that, above all else, sought to share and defend with great clarity and courage the beautiful Truth of faith in Jesus Christ.
